SEO Brisbane, for customers who just moved in
Greater Brisbane gained 58,223 residents in the year to June 2025, and about 45,000 of them came from overseas or from other parts of Australia. A household that has just unpacked has no plumber, dentist, mechanic or vet yet. It searches for one, often from a street it has lived on for a week. Boltly works from Melbourne and serves Brisbane remotely, with published prices and no lock-in.

A household that just unpacked has no list of local businesses
In a city where people stay put, a business can live on word of mouth for decades. Brisbane keeps adding people who have no word of mouth to go on.
In the first month after a move, the hot water service needs a look, the kids need a GP and a dentist, the car is due for a service, and someone has to put up the TV antenna. So the household types the job and "near me" into a phone, and picks from what Google shows.
That is the case for SEO in Brisbane: your best future customers don't know your name, and can't recommend you until one of them finds you first.
What a newcomer checks before calling
Is it near my new street?
Your address or service area. Google weighs distance, so list the suburbs you really reach and say so on your pages.
Is it open when I need it?
Profile hours, public holiday hours and a call button that works. Stale hours lose a first-time caller for good.
What did recent customers say?
Reviews from the last few months, with your replies.
Does it do my exact job?
A service page that names the job, shows real photos and answers the obvious questions about price and timing.
Can I tell who I'm dealing with?
Names, licence numbers where they apply, and a real business address or service area. Not a stock photo and a mobile number.
A newcomer can't judge you by reputation, so they judge the listing, and every line above is fixable.
Most of Brisbane's growth arrived on a removal truck
For Greater Brisbane in 2024-25, births minus deaths explain less than a quarter of the population increase, on the ABS split; the rest is people who moved here.
33,934
Net overseas migration: people arriving from abroad, minus those leaving.
13,212
Natural increase: births minus deaths. The only part that brings no new searcher.
11,077
Net internal migration. Brisbane and Perth were the only capitals with a net gain from the rest of the country that year.
The arrivals don't spread evenly. The ABS named Ripley in Ipswich as the fastest-growing area in Queensland in 2024-25, and Chambers Flat and Logan Reserve in Logan were close behind.
Ripley, Ipswich
Largest growth in Queensland, and the largest net internal migration gain (2,700).
Caloundra West and Baringa
On the Sunshine Coast, outside Greater Brisbane, but part of the same south-east Queensland pull.
Logan's southern growth fringe
Chambers Flat and Logan Reserve, in the City of Logan.

A plumber who built a name in the inner north may find the fastest-growing demand forty minutes away in a new estate. We check where you appear from each suburb and build pages and reviews for the ones worth the drive. If most of your work comes through the Map Pack, our local SEO Brisbane page covers the profile side.
One Brisbane postcode can hold two or three suburbs
Newcomers learn suburb names before postcodes, and several Brisbane postcodes cover more than one suburb. A listing that leans on the number instead of the name can read as the wrong place. These twelve suburbs each have their own page; the shaded boxes are the shared codes.
Brisbane CBD
CBD offices draw clients from the whole metro area, which puts the weight on ordinary results and site authority rather than the local pack. For a second view on strategy, see SEO consulting in Brisbane.
Fortitude Valley
Venues are searched by night and by event, so hours, menus and photos on the profile do more than the website.
SEO Fortitude ValleyMilton
Suncorp Stadium is at 40 Castlemaine Street. On game nights cafes and bars nearby get searched hard, so event-day hours belong on the profile.
SEO MiltonHamilton
Shares its postcode with Ascot. Name the suburb on the profile and pages, not just the code.
SEO HamiltonAscot
Same code as Hamilton. A clinic here should say Ascot plainly or it reads as Hamilton to anyone checking.
SEO AscotClayfield
Mostly residential, so home services and clinics compete for nearby searches more than walk-in shops do.
SEO ClayfieldChermside
Westfield Chermside sits on the corner of Gympie and Hamilton Roads. A shop inside should give the centre name and level so searchers find the right door.
SEO ChermsideStafford
The code also covers Stafford Heights. Trades drawing from both should list both by name in the service area.
SEO StaffordMount Gravatt
Shared with Upper Mount Gravatt and Mount Gravatt East. Name the one you're in and the others you serve.
SEO Mount GravattSunnybank
Shared with Sunnybank Hills. Say which one plainly, and name both on a service page only if you serve both.
SEO SunnybankWynnum
Also covers Wynnum North. Say which one you're in, and list the other only if you really work there.
SEO WynnumManly
A small bayside suburb with its own code. Businesses compete on a short list where recent local reviews carry weight.

We track rankings on a grid over the suburbs you serve, because a business that shows well in Chermside can be missing in Stafford a few minutes away. A single "Brisbane" ranking hides that.
When the street, the station or the river stops customers reaching you
Three Brisbane situations hide a good business for reasons unrelated to its work, and each has an afternoon fix that keeps the listing true.
Your new estate street isn't on Google Maps yet
It happens on the growth fringe around Ripley and Logan when the house goes up before the map catches up.
- Report the road through Google Maps' "Add or fix a road" option.
- If Google can't find your address, set the profile pin by hand with Adjust. Its address rules let you add a nearby cross street or landmark where the official address isn't accurate.
- If you go to customers instead, hide the address and list the estates as service areas.
- Check again in a few weeks: Google says most edits show in about 10 minutes, some take up to 30 days.
The station near your shop is shut for its rebuild
Moorooka station is closed while it is rebuilt, and the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority expects major works to finish in late 2027. Shops that relied on people walking from the platform lose that habit.
- Don't mark the business temporarily closed while you're trading.
- Add a short "getting here during the works" note to your contact page: the replacement StationLink 19 bus stops on Ipswich Road, parking, the entrance.
- Post a profile update when access changes, so people checking before they travel see it.
- Keep asking every customer for a review, so recent ones show you're busy, not boarded up.
A flood or storm shut you for a week
Brisbane City Council publishes flood mapping for the 1974, 2011 and 2022 events, plus a Flood Awareness Map and FloodWise Property Reports. Read yours before the wet, not during it.
- Use special hours for a short closure. Google's guidelines allow them for temporary closures and events.
- Mark the profile temporarily closed only while you're really shut, and undo it the day you reopen.
- Post a "we're open again" update with photos, and put the same notice on your homepage.
- Tell regulars directly, because a customer who found a closed door once may not search for you twice.

Six kinds of business a new Brisbane household goes looking for
These six sit on a newcomer's first-month list, and each needs a different kind of Brisbane SEO services.
New estate, empty yard
Builders and trades
New estates need fences, landscaping, air conditioning, solar and window coverings, often all at once. We set a service area you really cover, write a page per service with job photos, and ask for reviews that name the suburb and the work.
Something broke in week two
Plumbers and electricians
Urgent, near-me searches made on a phone. A tight profile, correct hours, a working call button and a page for each emergency job you take. Cover suburbs you can reach in time rather than the whole city.
Finding a new GP
Health and dental
Hospitals are the largest industry of employment in Greater Brisbane (5.1%, ABS 2021). Clinic pages should name the practitioner and avoid claims nobody can back. The National Law (s133) bars testimonials about clinical aspects of regulated health services in advertising. General information, not legal advice.
Sorting the paperwork
Lawyers and accountants
Professionals are the largest occupation group in Greater Brisbane (24.7% of employed residents, ABS 2021). New clients read first, so each practice area gets a page signed by the person who does the work.
First night out
Venues and hotels
People choose on a phone from the profile: hours, menus, photos and reviews. Keep those current, add a page for regular nights and events, and reply to reviews in your own voice.
Shipping Australia-wide
Online stores
A store based in Brisbane usually sells nationally, so category and product searches matter far more than suburbs. See eCommerce SEO Brisbane and WordPress SEO Brisbane.

Six boxes, opened one after another
You don't hang pictures before the bed is up. Twenty suburb pages on a slow, badly built site waste most of their value, and links pointed at pages Google can't crawl do nothing, so the order is fixed.
Suburb check
A record of where you rank in each suburb on your list, before anything changes.
Search research
What Brisbane customers type for your service, and who answers them now.
Technical repairs
Speed, crawl and structure fixed through our technical SEO work.
Pages that answer
Suburb and service pages written the way people in those suburbs search.
Reviews and links
A habit of asking for reviews, and links earned from Queensland suppliers and associations.
Monthly report
Grid tracking across your suburbs, written up in plain language every month.
Why the baseline matters more here
Brisbane is growing, so almost any business will see searches rise over a year whether it does SEO or not. If we only reported "up on last year", we'd be taking credit for the city.
So before changing anything we record where you appear in each suburb and how many calls and forms you get, and every report compares against that. Google's SEO starter guide says a change can show within hours or take several months, so we don't promise a date. An SEO audit sets that record up.
AI Overviews draw on the same listing a newcomer reads
Google's guide to its AI features says AI Overviews and AI Mode are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems. So we don't sell AI search as an add-on.
Indexed pages
A page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet before it can appear at all.
First-hand content
Useful pages written from your own jobs, which Google says matter more than any trick.
Business Profile
Google lists an accurate profile as a way to help local details show in AI responses.
Special markup
No llms.txt file or AI schema is needed, and nobody can promise a mention.
From Google Search Central's guide to generative AI features (last updated 10 July 2026), read on 3 October 2026.
Our AI search page covers what Google says you can safely ignore, and the Business Profile service explains the profile work.
Three plan sizes, packed for how far you travel

$500 a month- Business Profile set up properly for your home suburbs
- Listings tidied and a review routine started
- Technical essentials
- A monthly report
Growth
$900 a month- Starter, stretched over more of south-east Queensland
- Suburb and service pages written from your jobs
- New pages each month
- Links that are earned
Performance
$1,500 a month- Fields such as law or health, or a region-wide spread
- Weekly publishing and steady link earning
- A fortnightly call and a fuller monthly report
When you compare quotes from any Brisbane SEO agency, us included, ask for the hours and named tasks behind the fee, who does the work, and how you leave. The kind of affordable SEO Brisbane owners should want is cheap because the scope is small, not because the work is automated. Automated links and copied suburb pages both fall under Google's spam policies. Smaller firms wanting a fixed scope can look at small business SEO in Brisbane.
Before you pick a Brisbane SEO company
How do I choose an SEO agency in Brisbane?
Pick the one whose work you can check: ask for the suburbs and searches it will target, a sample monthly report and the exit terms, all in writing. Before you sign, stand in two of the suburbs you work in, run your main search on a phone in each, and screenshot what comes up. Measure any agency's later reports against those screenshots.
How much does SEO cost in Brisbane?
Starter costs $500 a month, Growth $900, Performance $1,500, and none comes with a setup fee or lock-in. A suburb or two and one main service often fits Starter. Several suburbs, or a contested field like law or health, usually needs Growth or Performance. The free audit says which.
How long until SEO shows results in Brisbane?
Google's SEO starter guide says a change can take effect within hours or take several months. Fixing a profile category can show quickly; pages and reviews for a new suburb take longer. We report against a month-one baseline, so the city's growth doesn't pass for our work.
Do you have a team in Brisbane?
No. Boltly is based in Melbourne and works with Brisbane businesses by phone, video and a monthly report. Rankings depend on your address or service area, pages and reviews, so a Brisbane SEO specialist down the road has no built-in ranking edge. Reach us on 0468 147 271 or hello@boltly.com.au.
Should I make a page for every new estate?
Only for estates and suburbs where you actually work and can say something specific: jobs done there, how you get there, what homes there tend to need. Google's spam policies treat near-identical pages aimed at different places as doorway abuse, and a handful of real pages beats dozens of swapped-name ones.
What's the difference between local SEO and SEO in Brisbane?
Local SEO is the Map Pack and near-me searches, driven by your Business Profile and your distance from the searcher. Wider SEO is ordinary results that can reach buyers across Queensland or Australia. A Wynnum clinic needs mostly the first; a Brisbane online store mostly the second.
Can a Brisbane SEO consultant guarantee rankings?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google decides the order of results, and its own guidance warns against promised rankings. We commit to the tasks in the plan, a baseline taken before we start, and a monthly report on which suburbs moved and which didn't, with our reading of why.
Will AI search change things for my business?
Google describes AI Overviews and AI Mode as built on its core ranking systems, so the same work counts, and nobody can guarantee a mention.
What happens after I ask for an audit?
You send your suburbs and main services. We check where you appear in each, look over your site and profile, and send a short written plan: the suburbs we'd target, months one to three, and the fee. If you can make the fixes yourself, such as stale hours or a wrong category, we'll say so.
See what a newcomer finds
Send your suburbs and services; we'll show you the search results a new household sees today.
